When you log in

Logging in with Yapin’ gives us your Yapin’ user ID, username or display name, and avatar link. We do not get your email, your messages or any way to post as you. We keep a signed cookie in your browser for up to 7 days so you stay logged in, and we delete it when you log out.

What the bot reads

In servers where Deno is added it sees messages so that commands, automod, AFK notices and tags can work. Automod checks message text against your rules and does not store it.

What the bot stores

• Per server: the settings you choose, the numbered moderation cases (member ID, moderator ID, reason, time), warnings and mod notes.
• Features you use: tags and autoresponders your admins write, reminders (your ID, channel and the reminder text until it is due), AFK status, poll votes, giveaway entries and starboard counts (user and message IDs).
• Dashboard changes: which admin changed which setting from this website and when, so a server’s admins can see who changed what. We keep the latest 100 per server and only that server’s admins can read them.
• Connected bots: if an admin turns on the webhook for other bots, we keep a hash of its key (never the key itself), and if they add an address for events, that address and its signing secret. Warnings and notes added through the webhook are stored like any other case, marked with the name of the bot that sent them.
• Usage counts: per server and per day, how many messages the bot saw, how many times each command was used, and how many members joined or left. These are plain numbers with no message text and no user IDs, they are kept for 90 days, and only the person who runs Deno can see them.
• We do not sell data, show ads, or run analytics or third-party tracking scripts on this website.

Where it is kept

The data is held in a hosted database and on a hosting provider that runs the bot and website. Only the people who run Deno can access it.

How long we keep it

Server data is kept while Deno is in the server so that your cases and settings do not disappear. Finished giveaways and polls are removed after about a week. Reminders are removed once sent.

Removing your data

Admins can clear warnings and notes with /warn clear and /note clear, and delete tags and settings themselves. To ask for data to be removed, join the Deno support server (the link is in the footer of every page) and tell us which server or user ID.

Children

Deno is meant for people old enough to use Yapin’ under its own terms.
